  • Terrible Market selection - won't approve Plex app

While the picture quality is very high quality, I am continually disappointed by the selection of "apps" in the VIERA Market. It pales in comparison to other competing "Smart" TVs. For example, Plex is a very popular media app that is available on every competing platform. It looks like someone actually built an app and submitted it, but they won't approve it. Very disappointed.

  • Excellent TV

This TV is hands down the best TV I have ever seen. I knew going in the colors and blacks would be better, but wow. The quality of this TV is by far the best. Viewing angles are perfect, its very slim, easy to setup and the built in options are great. I am a video/audiophile and am very critical of TV's. I would never switch back to my LCD/LED TV's. The only con is it gets slightly warm after a few hours, but nothing compared to the early plasma TV's.

  • the best tv ever

I was a Sony customer for 49 years, but after spending 4000 dollars on a HDTV I had a bad experience with the television itself and a worse experience with Sony customer service. Thinking it was time to try something else, I bought a Samsung HDTV which after 3 days I had to return. I then decided to try Panasonic, and after 10 months I am still in love. The picture is the best, there are no problems with playing video games, and the movies are better than at the movie theater, even being impressive with the 3D.

  • Wow!

We've owned this tv since June 2012. Blu-ray movies including 3D are spectacular. Glasses that work with this tv are very comfortable and easily fit over prescription eyeglasses. We use our home audio system for sound so can't comment on TV's built-in sound. We did have tv calibrated. Upscaled regular DVD's even look fairly decent on this tv. I find every excuse I can to purchase a new 3D movie so I can see it on this tv....LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! Netflix HD streaming looks good on tv also as well as Cox HD programming. I hope this plasma lasts forever...but, if it doesn't, I'm buying another Panasonic!

  • Lasted 4 months

Dont buy this tv! Ours lasted 4 months before completely dying on us. And now, the repair company needs a part thats on back-order and will take "weeks" to get. So i spent 2 grand on a very large 60 inch paperweight. First and last panasonic i'll buy.
  • Great picture, loud buzzing

The pros of this TV include excellent picture and very good sound. The screen is pretty reflective, but not more than similar models, just don't plan on using this during the day in a room full of windows.Black levels on this are phenominal. Colors are good straight out of the box, but after calibration are stunning with good source material. The internet connectivity items, apps such as the web browser and youtube, are nice, but still need some refining, until they are sorted using a laptop connected via HDMI is a better bet. They feel like they were rushed out the door and that the programmers might be slightly embarrased about releasing them the way they work now.The bigest problem with this TV is the ambient noise it makes. Plasmas tend to be noiser than other big screens, but this model is exceptionally loud when displaying bright white images. Louder than any other large screen plasma model from other manufacturers I have encountered and I've purchased a few and tested many more. A under warranty visit from a tech confirmed that this is a recognized problem, but that the TV was within spec. and not out of order. If you like to watch ice hockey or winter/snow based documentaries at anything less than normal listening volume, do not buy this TV. It will sound like bees are about to attack. If you like loud action movies where the sound is going to be up all the time you might not notice it as much or be willing to live with it for the great picture.
